An 11KV panel — also called an HT (High Tension) panel or 11KV grid panel — is a medium voltage switchgear assembly that receives and manages electrical supply at 11,000 volts. In Pakistan, 11KV is the standard supply voltage provided by LESCO, GEPCO, IESCO, MEPCO, and other DISCOs to large industrial and commercial consumers.
Any organization receiving a dedicated WAPDA/DISCO 11KV supply needs an 11KV panel. This includes large factories, textile mills, cement plants, hospitals, shopping malls, housing societies, hotels, and university campuses. The panel houses Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs), protection relays, Current Transformers (CTs), Potential Transformers (PTs), and metering equipment — all conforming to IEC 62271-200.

Simply put, the difference is the voltage they handle:
LV (Low Voltage) panels operate at up to 1,000V AC — in Pakistan, that's typically 415V. These are the panels you find inside factories and buildings distributing power to machinery, lighting, and equipment.
MV (Medium Voltage) panels operate between 1kV and 36kV — most commonly 11kV or 33kV in Pakistan. These sit at the incoming supply point of an industrial facility or substation, where WAPDA's distribution line connects to your private electrical system.
HV (High Voltage) panels operate above 36kV and are used exclusively in Pakistan's national transmission grid managed by NTDC and WAPDA — not in private industrial installations.
Most Pakistani industrial facilities need both LV and MV panels working together. We manufacture both, meaning you can source your complete substation and distribution switchgear from a single, accountable manufacturer.
A dry-type transformer uses cast-resin epoxy insulation instead of oil — making it fire-safe, maintenance-free, and suitable for indoor installation without the civil requirements (oil containment bunds, fire suppression) that oil transformers demand.
Bilal Switchgear Engineering is the sole distributor of GBE dry-type transformers, and Jiangsu-Yawei dry & Power Transformers in Pakistan. GBE & Jiangsu-Yawei dry type transformers are the preferred choice for hospitals, data centers, hotels, commercial towers, and any facility where fire safety, maintenance access, or space is a concern. Compared to conventional oil transformers, dry-type units require no oil sampling or filtration, carry lower insurance premiums, and can be installed directly in basements or electrical rooms without special civil provisions.

Our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) division handles complete turnkey project execution — from design and drawing through procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning. Our MEP scope covers LV/MV panel installation, cable laying, earthing systems, HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
